How to select your built in BBQ

You can specify your own built in BBQ from our modular system by making a selection at each level of the guide below (email back your preferences and we will reply to you with a formal quotation) Better yet call our office for expert advice and a quote for our built in BBQs on the spot.

1. Built in BBQ Frame Size: The first decision you need to make for your built in BBQ is to select the size of barbeque frame (BF) firebox size to suit the scale of your outdoor area and the numbers of people you wish to cater for. That is, 2-Burner with cooking area 480mm wide; 3-Burner (640mm wide); 4-Burner (800mm wide) or 5-Burner (960mm wide) cooking surface.
   
   
2. Built in BBQ Fuel Type: Then let us know if you wish to use propane fuel for your built in BBQ (9kg portable cylinders or large LPG cylinders for household gas supply) or Natural Gas (select NG KIT) or Charcoal.
   
   

   When planning your built in BBQ area, ensure there is a 60mm clearance behind the built in barbeque to allow the hood to open. You should also allow for the front panel to extend 100mm in front of the benchtop. Useful tip: buy the barbeque before cutting stone benchtops. A 90 degree elbow can be fitted for directing gas flow to the rear of the recess.

   
   
   
3. Built in BBQ Mounting System: Then select the mounting system of your choice. If you are designing and building a new structure to mount the barbeque into a recess, select the standard built-in kit (BI KIT-1) brackets, screws and spacers. If you have an existing recess and wish to replace the current unit with a Lifestyle Barbeque, select the long series (BI KIT-2) brackets, screws and spacers. If you wish to fit the barbeque directly to a masonry wall, select the wall mounting kit (BI KIT-3).

   The Lifestyle barbeque can be mounted to a brick wall using the Lifestyle
   Wall mount kit. With 3 dynabolts and 8 x 30mm stainless steel bolts and spacers
   per bracket, the kit will ensure this barbeque holds fast.
   
   
   
   
4. Built in BBQ Plate and Grill Combination: Then select the stainless steel plate and BBQ grill combination or Burner Pack (BPI) that suits how you like to use the built in barbeque. There is no additional charge to customise your cooking surface. You can have a large plate and small grill (or vice versa) or half plate and half grill ... or ask for the standard plate and grill combination for the barbeque size you have selected. Choose from the range of plate widths of 160, 200, 240, 320, 400, 480, 560, 640, 720mm and grill widths of 160, 200, 240, 320, 400mm to span the width of the cooking area selected above. Please note that you must have a minimum of 160mm of grill on the left hand side of the cook-top to allow for ventilation.
   
   
5. Built in BBQ Roasting Hood: You can select one of two kinds of roastings hood for built in BBQs - International (RHI, with furnace grade ceramic glass viewing window) or Sea View (RHP, full stainless steel without viewing window). Or if you do not want to be able to prepare roasts on your built in barbeque (open grilling and frying only) you may select a flat stainless steel rain cover (RCF) instead.
   
   
6. Built in BBQ Matching Stainless Cabinet: If you want to build in your Lifestyle Barbeque complete with the matching cabinet, you will need to order the trolley and cabinet kit with tilt-lift door at the front (TCI) and two of the side panel covers (TSPC) to 'trim' the top of the cabinet side panels on each side of the barbeque frame.
   
   
7. Built in BBQ Foot Detail: There are three options for building in the barbeque with matching stainless steel cabinet. Either on castors (default standard - no selection required) for easy removal, eg for periodic cleaning OR screw-adjustable stainless steel legs (excellent for precise level adjustment - select LEG KIT) OR stainless steel plinth (most visually appealing option - select PL KIT).
   
   
8. Built in BBQ Side Burner: To have a side burner fitted to built in BBQs (usually to the right hand side of the barbeque frame) select the Side Burner Kit (S/B KIT) instead. If you want to build a side burner into a stone or tile benchtop, you should select this item. If you wish to fit the Side Burner to the left hand side, you should select left hand side gas entry (MHLS)

   Side burners can be built in too. No special brackets are required - just ensure cutout measurements are right, and support from below e.g with aluminium angles. (not supplied)
   
   
   
   
9. Built in BBQ Assembly and/or Delivery: If you want your built in BBQ assembled select ASSY. If you want it delivered anywhere in the Sydney Metro area select DEL. (for other locations anywhere in Australia or Internationally call or email to request delivery charge). If you want your barbeque assembled and delivered select BOTH items. Note that outside of Sydney barbeques are only delivered in flat pack form for you to assemble to our quality assembly instructions (obtainable from our website on the "BBQ Owners" page)
